The TopoAsia initiative, officially endorsed by the International Lithosphere Program (ILP), is entering its full operational phase as the ILP Coordinating Committee 2026-CC2: 4D Topography Evolution in Asia - From Deep Earth to Surface. TopoAsia aims at revealing the continuous dynamic process of topographic evolution in Asia — from mantle convection and plate tectonics processes to interaction with surface climate. It will be a global platform that promotes collaboration among geoscientists across disciplines and national borders to jointly advance research on Asian geodynamics, tectonics, and topographic evolution.
To advance a 4D understanding of Asia's dynamic Earth, the TopoAsia Executive Committee warmly invites the global geoscience community to submit proposals under their program framework. To systematically organize collaborative efforts, TopoAsia has established four distinct categories of applications:Regional Scientific Committees & Scientific Task Committees, TopoAsia-Endorsed Activities, Strategic Partnerships, and Research Projects. All proposed initiatives must strictly align with the TopoAsia scientific vision and embody their core principles: Co-Planning, Co-Building, Co-Sharing, and Co-Winning.
