The 19th Workshop of the International Lithosphere Program Task Force VI Sedimentary Basins, hosted by King Abdulaziz City For Science And Technology (KACST) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between November 30 – December 5 2025 was a great success. With 369 registered participants, two days of pre-conference fieldwork trip and three days of presentations and round-tables, the workshop organizers have successfully reached new highlights for our sedimentary basin community. The local organizers represented by Thamer Alotaibi and Mohammed Saleh have done their best to welcome and include everyone in fruitful discussion. Their efforts are very much acknowledged!
A special issue in an international high impact journal dedicated to the 19th workshop will be organized. If you plan to provide a contribution please send information in the form of a preliminary title, list of authors, affiliations and a short abstract to the main organizers of the meeting, Thamer Alotaibi (totaibi@kacst.gov.sa) and Mohammed Saleh (Mohammed.saleh.5@aramco.com), no later than 10 January 2026 as a strict deadline. In your planning, you may consider a potential opening of the volume during March 2026 with a deadline for submission at the end of May 2026.
